Overview

Model H has been developed for horse and donkey owners whose animals experience recurring difficulty getting up. It is equally suited to veterinarians, firefighters and animal rescue teams who are faced with the challenging task of assisting a recumbent animal that risks injuring itself through repeated attempts to stand.

Osteoarthritis, injuries and a wide range of medical conditions can prevent a horse from standing. With the Equi-lift Model H, a single person can safely lift the animal without requiring additional assistance.

How to Use

Steps

Position the abdominal support harness beneath the animal.
Unfold the inflatable system around the animal.
Secure the harness straps to the inflatable anchor points, then attach the animal's halter to the designated anchor point on the inflatable system.
Inflate the system. Within approximately five minutes, the horse is gently lifted back into a standing position.

For older or weakened equines, the greatest challenge is often lifting themselves clear of the ground. The first 40 centimetres are usually the hardest, and this becomes increasingly difficult with age. Some horses eventually become reluctant to lie down at all.
