Overview

Surgical procedures on recumbent animals are performed either on an operating table or on specially prepared floor surfaces. Even with padded operating tables, the support surface remains relatively firm.

Model M was developed in collaboration with equine surgeons to reduce the risk of myopathy and muscle crush syndrome, particularly during lengthy procedures involving athletic or heavily muscled horses.

How It Works

Summary

The horse is positioned on the inflated mattress placed on the operating table. Modular inflatable support cushions allow the surgeon to optimise positioning and isolate specific anatomical areas for surgery. Each Model M is custom-built to meet individual clinical requirements.
